By purchasing a license or accessing the Ecclesia platform ("Service"), your organization ("Client", "Church") agrees to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.
Our "Lifetime License" grants the purchasing Church a non-exclusive, non-transferable, permanent right to use the Ecclesia platform for its own internal operations. The Lifetime License includes continuous cloud hosting, database maintenance, and access to standard software updates. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the Ecclesia product. In the highly unlikely event that the Service is discontinued, we will provide a minimum of 90 days' notice and full database exports to all active clients.
As the Data Controller/Responsible Party, the Church represents and warrants that it has the legal right, explicit consent, or lawful basis required by applicable laws (including POPIA and GDPR) to collect and upload member data (including Special Personal Information and data pertaining to minors) into the Service. Ecclesia accepts no liability for a Church's failure to obtain proper consent from its congregation.
The Church is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of administrative login credentials. Ecclesia is not liable for any unauthorized access, data loss, or data breaches resulting from a failure to secure administrative accounts or the sharing of passwords.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive for maximum uptime and data integrity, Ecclesia makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the uninterrupted availability of the Service. In no event shall Ecclesia be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or operational disruptions.
The Church may terminate its use of the Service at any time by contacting our support team to request complete data deletion. Ecclesia reserves the right to suspend or terminate a license immediately if the Church violates these Terms or uses the platform for illegal activities.
